All 4-year olds (with exception of Come Dance with Me) admitted to class must be able to work in a group setting, pay attention to the instructor and not be disruptive. Assessment will be made in the first two lessons

Age acceptability for class may, in some cases, be determined by the instructor to be younger than noted.

Please note:  jewelry is strictly prohibited as a safety precaution – no earrings, no necklaces, no bracelets. Leave all valuables at home for safe keeping!
Boys dress code:  ages 4 – 9, white t-shirt, navy bike shorts, white socks & ballet shoes. Ages 9+ black or navy leggings, white short-sleeved leotard. white socks and ballet shoes.
Referral Program Refer a student who enrolls in any class and receive a coupon equal to value of their tuition. New student must maintain attendance and be current on their tuition for three consecutive months.
Crawmers Critters Pre-School Dance 2 – 5 Class for those children enrolled at the Crawmer’s Critters Pre-School.  If not a “Crawmer’s Critter”, please enroll either in Come Dance with Me or Playdance classes.
Come dance with me (Mommy & me) 3-4 Playful approach to dance with age appropriate ballet exercises to develop stamina, encourage creativity and foster self expression.  Children invent fantasy class activities supported with basic ballet terms. Dress code:  Hair in pony tail or bun. Bloch pink leotard with attached skirt, pink ballet socks and leather ballet shoes (Mommy, or Daddy & Me format)  Please no 2 year olds
Playdance 3-5 Introduction to creative movement for young children. Class activities include large jumps, pre-ballet and jazz. Dancers discover spacial awareness, learn to work with partners, how to share with glee and the joy of dance. Relaxed dress code for a casual approach to dance. No dress code.  Children must be 3 by October 31st.
Fantasy Ballet 4-5 Experience the magic of classical dance in this pre-school ballet class. Fantasy based class to cultivate creativity while learning ballet terminology. This fantasy themed ballet class progresses to the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary in Dance course.  Dress code does apply.Classes meet once weekly. Dress code: Yellow leotard dress with attached chiffon skirt, pink ballet socks and leather ballet shoes. Girls: Hair tied back into bun or pony tail (short hair) Children must be 5 by November 15th
Pre-Primary 6-7 High energy classes using the RAD Pre-Primary in Dance syllabus to widen physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality. This class progresses from Fantasy Ballet and prepares students for a successful transition to the Grades ballet and other dance genres. Classes meet once weekly. Dress Code: Pink short sleeved leotard, mid-thigh length RAD regulation skirt, pink ballet slippers and shoes. Girl: Hair tied back into bun or pony tail (short Hair)  Children must be 6 by November 15th
Primary 7-8 Further refinement of steps and movements learned in Pre-Primary in Dance. Children discover new skills in preparation for RAD exams, (exams not a requirement for progression) Classes meet once weekly. RAD Primary syllabus encourages student directed learning. Dress Code:  RAD regulation leotard and skirt in Marine Blue, pink ballet socks and leather ballet shoes. Girls: Hair tied back into bun or pony tail (short hair)  Children must be 7 by November 15th
Grades* 1-5 8+ All grades syllabus include Classical Ballet, Free movement (lyrical style) and character dance. Gain a strong foundation for future dance training that is appropriate and relevant to young children of today. Enjoyable, yet challenging, exercises to build on skills learned in prior years. These one hour classes meet twice weekly. Dress Code: RAD regulation tank leotard with matching waist elastic, leather ballet shoes, black character shoes and character skirt (available for purchase or rental), Girls: Hair must be in tidy bun. Children must be 8 by November 15th 
Upper Grades*    6-7  12+ Classes for the advanced student with a passion for the art, who may choose a career path other than dance. Challenging curriculum covering romantic style of ballet, free movement (lyrical style) and character dances of Eastern Europe. Classes are 75 minutes each and meet twice weekly. Dress Code: RAD regulation leotard, circular calf-length chiffon skirt. black circular character skirt and black character skirt. Girls:  Hair must be in bun.
Grade 8* Award 13+ Classes for the advanced student with a passion for the art, who may or may not choose a dance career. Challenging curriculum covering a sophisticated approach to the romantic style of ballet, free movement and character dances of Eastern Europe. Successful Grade 8 Award candidates are eligible for student membership in the Royal Academy of Dance.  There is no upper age limit for this award.  Dress code:  Same as above
Vocational (Pre-professional) 11+ Six levels of in-depth study of classical ballet following Grades 4 and higher. These pre-professional 90+ minute classes challenge and inspire students technically, artistically and creatively. Highly focused work also develops artistry and theatrical skills. Includes pointe work for female candidates. The Vocational Graded syllabi’s are appropriate for the non-beginner age 11 and older.  Those wishing to pursue RAD Exams must take a minimum of three 90 minute classes per week.  Private coaching sessions are recommended for successful assessment results.  Dress code: RAD regulation leotard, pink tights, soft pointe and pointe shoes.  Hair must be in bun.
Vocational Pointe Pirouette & Batterie (VPPB) 10+ Class content focuses on pre-pointe or pointe technique, batterie (beaten jumps), and pirouettes.  Beginning/Intermediate and Advanced classes tailored to specific abilities of students.  Dress code:  solid color leotard of any style, pink tights and full soled ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes.  Hair tied neatly into a bun.
Adult Ballet 18+ Adult beginning to intermediate ballet class, differentiated exercises to accommodate all body styles and experiences.  For example, knee injuries would prevent a dancer from jumping, exercises adapted to prevent further injury.  No one is too old to learn ballet! NO DRESS CODE.   Ballet slippers are recommended for safety.
Ballet Workout Teen+ This fun, low impact aerobic class uses ballet fundamentals to build a strong core, slim legs and fluid movement. You’ll gain flexibility, abdominal strength and improved balance as you work out to the music of the NYC Ballet Repertoire.

Modern Dance 9+ Learn a wide range of techniques based on the elements of dance; time, space and lots of energy. Classes are technique based, to include floor work, center work, movement across the floor and improvisation.
Jazz 9+ Discover classic and contemporary styles of jazz dance in this upbeat class. Technique is taught through center work, across the floor combinations and movement phrase work.
Beginning Tap 6+ Students are introduced to basic tap technique while learning rhythmic skills, musicality and precision.
Beginning Hip Hop 6+ Students explore age-appropriate body isolations and syncopated rhythms in a fun and funky atmosphere.
Pilates Mat Work Careful and specific training for safe, efficient use of muscles during movement. Work focuses on torso strength, spinal flexibility and firm support of limbs.

Summer Dance Camps & Classes

Leap, Soar, Dance! 7 12 Leap, Soar, Dance! with Jazz, modern dance, hip hop, lyrical, ballet & musical comedy. A fun filled morning with fitness activities and props shop. Learn to dance using props.  Choreography workshop, experiment and create your own dance.  Prior dance experience not necessary.Groups separated by ages and/or abilities.  Group A – Ages 8 – 11.  Group B – Ages 12 to teen. Final presentation in the studio with makeup and costumes. Be sure to invite parents, siblings and friends.Wear dance wear or fitness type clothing.  Do bring healthy snacks (e.g. nuts, fruits)   Crafts supplies provided.
Teen Dance Intensive  12 – 18
Dance Intensive for teens with Jazz, modern dance, hip hop, lyrical, ballet & musical comedy. A fun filled morning with fitness activities and props shop. Learn to dance using props.  Choreography workshop, experiment and create your own dance.  Prior dance experience not necessary but helpful. Final presentation in the studio with makeup and costumes. Be sure to invite parents, siblings and friends.Wear dance wear or fitness type clothing.  Do bring healthy snacks (e.g. nuts, fruits)   Crafts supplies provided.
Pretty Princess Dance Camp 5 – 8 High energy camp for children 5 – 8.   Morning filled with Crafts, Dance Games, Free Movement, Ballet & Rhythm dances.   Mini-performance for friends and parents at end of camp, Thursday at 12:00 pm.   We’ll create our own story dance, using ideas created by students.Wear dance wear or comfortable clothing.  We have a borrow bin of dance wear.   Bring healthy snacks so we can keep our energy up!Final presentation in the studio for parents, grandparents, siblings and friends.  Crafts supplies provided.  Please no children under 5.
Technique & Repertoire Workshop  12 + Learn historical and contemporary repertoire from familiar ballets.  For the accomplished dancer, pointe is included but not mandatory.
Pre-Pointe skill builder 10+ Want to go on pointe? How about strengthening those feet and legs? This Workshop will build strength and technique required for pointe or stronger demi-pointe.  Students must be Grade 4 (Upper Intermediate level) or higher in proficiency.   Course continues into Fall with final assessment for pointe at end of session.
Tiny tots Fantasy Ballet 4 – 5 Fantasy inspired ballet class for the very young dancer.  Basic movements of skipping, jumping, leaping to prepare for pre-ballet.  Children use their imagination to create a “ballet story”.
Pre- Ballet 5 – 8 Introductory dance class for students interested in the dance form.   High energy class covers basic ballet technique, musicality, vocabulary of steps to develop strong motor skills with balletic expression.   Use of props include scarves, hats, flags (for boys)  Boys style encouraged to show difference between male styles and female styles of dance.  Dress code:  leotard, ballet socks and shoes.
Beginning Ballet Level 1 9 – 12 While learning the basics of classical ballet, students will explore their creative styles for ballet and character dances.   We’ll compose our own dances with steps learned and a few of our own!   Expression strongly encouraged for good stage craft.  Dress code:  leotard, ballet pink ballet tights and leather shoes. Girls: Hair into bun or ponytail.
Summer Jazz 9+ This class is full of fun but with the proper technique students will learn to move quickly, with sharp precise movements. With ballet at its core students will be taught classic jazz steps that will enhance their dance repertoire
Musical Theater Dance 8+ Using jazz as a catalyst, students will learn how to mimic characters and styles from some of the world’s greatest musicals, along with becoming a successful Musical Theatre dancer with their own personality. Although the students will not be taught to sing, acting will play a large role in their experience with this class
Russian Character Dance 11+ Specialized style of character dance typically seen in various regions of Russia.  Peasant and court style of dance as seen in the famous Russian ballets.  Taught by Angelina Kouznetsova.  1 -2 inch heeled Character shoes required.  Shoes available to rent at studio for small fee.
