It’s Christmas Eve, and young Clara receives a gift unlike any other: a wooden Nutcracker. When the clock strikes midnight, her toy springs to life to battle the Mouse King and his army, then whisks Clara away on a journey through a snowy forest to the Land of Sweets, home of dancing dolls, bon bons, snow fairies and the Sugar Plum Fairy herself.
A Child’s Tale tells this classic story through the eyes of a child. It’s sized for young audiences and danced by ABC’s own students, ages 2- adult, to Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score.
This year’s production is part of our 20th Anniversary Season, two decades of Bend families growing up on our stage.
