R.A.D Grade 1 in Dance
Must be age 8 by October 1 of the current school year.
Grade 1 in Dance® suits the elementary aged child to build confidence, stamina, and coordination for all forms of dance and sport. Children work together and individually in fascinating dances and exercises that progress throughout the year. Dances include the “Garden Dance”, “The Snow Ball Dance”, and “Surprise for you!”

All students are encouraged to engage in multiple dance styles, such as lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop to become a well rounded dancer.
Grade 1 Dancers should add one or more of the following classes to their dance education:
All students are rewarded with an unbiased assessment assuring a safe progression to the next level. Assessments occur in the spring each year as a fun way to show off what they’ve learned for the examiner.
What’s included in monthly tuition, and one time registration and uniform fees:
- Monthly class tuition – Two- 60 minute classes per week
- Hair starter kit
- Dance class uniform (received at complimentary fitting appointment)
- Girls: Class leotard & matching belt, socks & ballet shoes
- Boys: Dance shorts and shirt, socks & ballet shoes
- Character skirt rental
- Character shoe rental
- R.A.D Assessment fees: professional examiner comes to the studio from out of town
- Two annual performances
- Achievement ceremony performance
- June Performance
- (You are invited to join Nutcracker, with a separate sign up fee)
- Costume to keep for June performance
- Grade 1 awards and certificates
