You will find this highly-focused and practical training to provide support for either a d dance-related, career or an enjoyable recreational dance experience. Students wishing to study for Vocational Graded examinations should have the maturity and technical aptitude for demanding study.

Les Etoiles levels:

Grade 6, 7 and 8 Award          Ages 12 and up

A sixth year study of upper intermediate ballet delves into the style of the Romantic Era of ballet.  Learn about the flowing and stylistic ballets that we are so familiar with, such as Giselle, Les Sylphide, and Ramonda.  The romantic period  carries so much important history and its influence on today’s dance.

The Upper Grades conclude with the Grade 8 Award and the demands of an accomplished performer. These upper levels are perfectly suited to the more mature dancer.

Vocational Intermediate Foundation       Ages 11 and up

This level introduces first year pointe.  We recommend attending a series of Progressing Ballet Technique classes to build the necessary muscular strength to allow for safe entry to pointe.  Assessment prior to accepting students, is highly recommended.  Please call our office for a placement appointment. 541-382-4055

Vocational Intermediate      Ages 12 and up

As an upper level of ballet, we recommend attending a series of Progressing Ballet Technique classes to build the necessary muscular strength and correct muscle memory to allow for safe entry to the demands of this level. 

A classical ballet class with a strong focus on the development of pointe work. Following a structured warm-up, this 1 hour 30 minute class  includes pointe work. This is a fantastic opportunity for students at Advanced levels and above to strengthen and develop their technique in this key area of classical ballet.

Assessment prior to accepting Vocational Program students is highly recommended. Please call for a placement appointment 541-382-4055.

Vocational Advanced Foundation      Ages 13 and up

A classical ballet class for students of Advanced level working above the Vocational Intermediate level. Students are given the opportunity to use their RAD syllabus training in this challenging and focused class.

We recommend attending a series of Progressing Ballet Technique classes to build the necessary muscular strength to allow strong muscle memory for this challenging level.  Assessment prior to accepting students, is mandatory to placement, or prior exam success with world recognized examining body. (eg RAD, ISTD, Cecchetti, etc)

Vocational Advanced 1      Ages 14 and up

We recommend attending a series of Progressing Ballet Technique classes to build the necessary muscular strength to allow for safe entry to pointe.  Assessment prior to accepting students, is highly recommended.

As a classical ballet class for students of Advanced level, students work above the Vocational Intermediate level. Students are given the opportunity to use their RAD syllabus training in this challenging and focused class.

Vocational Advanced  2      Ages 14 and up

Progressively challenging class content to challenge and energize dancers wanting to further their training or to finish their RAD training.

A classical ballet class for students of upper Advanced level working above the Vocational Advanced  level 1. Students are given the opportunity to use their RAD syllabus training in this challenging and focused class, and for those wishing to expand their dance resume.

 

Royal Academy of Dance 

Discover Repertoire – Levels 2, 3 & 4

 Explore and refine your performance artistry with this innovative new concept in training and assessment from the RAD.  Delight in performing pieces from well-known  ballets.  Classical ballet to inspire, delight and empower excellence for the upper level dancer.  Learn and master famous choreography seen on stage, set to music that they know and love. 
 
Beginning at Level 2, the equivalent to RAD Grade 5 in Dance and Vocational Intermediate Foundation, this level, students learn modified variations from well known ballets such as Coppélia and Giselle. 
 
Students are able to take an exam in this when certain criteria have been reached.
 
Boys Ballet (Level 1: 7–9 year-olds, Level 2:ages  9 to adult, Level 3: 12 to adult)
